So, our name is GUAYAQUIL A GUIDED VISIT. www.guayaquilaguidedvisit.comAnd yet we haven´t talked about THE MOST REMARKABLE CITY OF THIS COUNTRY .
The thing is that I´ve been trying to find the words... but hey, there are not enough words to describe this WONDERFUL city. For centuries visitors have come for a few days or weeks and have remained here for good
Guayaquil as seen from the top of the Santa Ana hill.
And it is that Guayaquil can not be
explained in words.
Well yeah, we do it. But Guayaquil is more a
cluster of sensations. Guayaquil must be experienced, felt you must walk
through its streets, feel its pulse.
The breeze on the banks of the
river. the song of the dozens of birds that you meet on your way.
Separate
note:
Guayaquil is the city with more birds WITHIN the urban perimeter. about a
hundred birds can be seen if you just stop and observe.
So Guayaquil offers a
tour for birdwatchers? In fact yes, that will be precisely the topic of
conversation in a future entry in this blog.

But back to GUAYAQUIL the beautiful city.
Guayaquil is a city that like no other in this country offers its visitors.
history, traditions, modernity, landscapes, culture, wildlife, nature, all
intermingled in a wonderful walk through this city. Then, how much time should
I allocate to visit Guayaquil? Minimum one whole day.
Our three hour CITY TOUR ... normally lasts 4.5
hours.
And in that time we are talking
only about THE CITY. Nature? Wild life? Bird watching? Dry tropical forest with
wildlife (monkeys)? all this within 45 minutes driving a vehicle and within a
radius of less than 30 miles.
On every overpass in the city there are these grogeous murals .
Guayaquil´s Metropolitan Cathedral
Centennial Park
Juan Pueblo The monument to the donors of Malecon 2000
At the Seminario Park better known as the Iguanas park
The Riverfront park as seen from the tallest building in that area.
Cocoa? Do you want to know about cocoa? that
will be the topic of conversation in another entry in this blog.
So, let´s go back walking around the streets of Guayaquil
Old traditions are remembered all over the city, with these statues
The architecture of Guayaquil
But this makes me go back to GUAYAQUIL, Guayaquil
in history. A city founded on the banks of the river in the middle of the
century 16 and that from its conception was the shipyard of the
Spaniards. The most important ships of the Spanish navy were built in the REALES
ASTILLEROS DE GUAYAQUIL. Naturally the shipyard was visited in the most
important port of this country, prestige that continues to enjoy to date.
The Masonic temple.
Well first we must remember that in the old days
there was a great trade of fruits and agricultural products and all this trade
was carried out by the port of Guayaquil. And yes, just as we export many
products through the port of Guayauqil, culture entered this country through
the same port. 100% of the foreign colonies arrived by boat to Guayaquil, then
they were located in different parts of the country but the obvious GATEWAY to Ecuador has been from the beginning Guayaquil.
Today, Guayaquil offers gardens, parks, historic
buildings, museums, viewpoints at high points of the city, public places to practice
sports, and gastronomy.

The clock tower of Guayaquil
The Crystal Palace
Guayaquil´s metropolitan Cathedral
Guayaquil, the beautiful city, way too many things to show.
I will indeed take more than oine day to explore.
Wildlife, history.
Friends, couples, families.
There´s entertainment for all.
Now coming to the end, we have to talk about GUAYAQUIL´S SUNSETS.
(this will actually be the subject of one entry.
But let´s see some now.
Sunset only opens the doors to an even more exciting adventure:
GUAYAQUIL AT NIGHT.
We talked about the local gastronomy, but there´s all kinds ofentertainment, plus the simple walking around the streets is a great pleasure.
Do not forget to bring your camera when visiting Guayaquil, you´ll find that a phone will soon fall short to capture the beauty of THE MOST REMARKABLE city of Ecuador: GUAYAQUIL
THE CITY THAT WAS BORN BY THE RIVER.
